How to Activate Stan on Your Smart TV

Stan provides a browser-based activation method that allows you to connect a Smart TV, media player, or gaming console to your Stan account using an activation code.

What You Need

  • A compatible Smart TV, media player, or gaming console
  • The Stan app installed on your device
  • An active Stan account
  • A smartphone, tablet, or computer
  • The activation code displayed on your TV

Get Your Stan Activation Code

  1. Turn on your Smart TV or compatible device.
  2. Open the Stan app.
  3. Select the option to log in.
  4. Choose the activation-code login option if it is displayed.
  5. A 6- or 7-digit activation code should appear on your TV.

Activate Stan Using a Web Browser

  1. Open Chrome, Safari, Edge, or another supported browser on your phone, tablet, or computer.
  2. Go to stan.com.au/activate.
  3. Log in to your Stan account if you are not already signed in.
  4. Enter the 6- or 7-digit code displayed on your TV.
  5. Select Activate.
  6. Wait for the activation confirmation.

Once the code has been successfully verified, your Smart TV or other supported device should automatically log in to Stan.

How Long Does a Stan Activation Code Last?

Stan states that activation codes are valid for 15 minutes. If the code expires before you complete activation, return to the Stan app on your TV and generate a new code.

Stan Activation Code Not Working

  • Make sure you entered the 6- or 7-digit code correctly.
  • Check that you are logged into the correct Stan account.
  • Make sure the code has not expired.
  • Generate a new activation code if necessary.
  • Check that your TV or streaming device has an internet connection.
  • Close and reopen the Stan app if the activation screen is not responding.

Can Stan Be Activated With a QR Code?

On selected Smart TVs, Stan also supports QR-code login. Open your phone's camera, scan the QR code displayed by the Stan app, and follow the instructions in your mobile browser to sign in.

Alternative Stan Login

If you prefer not to use an activation code, some compatible devices also provide an option to sign in directly using your Stan email address and password with the TV remote.
